Tiger helps Aiden eat his first vegetable!
At one of our RDA sessions Aiden had been insistent he wanted to bring Tiger a carrot after another boy the previous week had gifted him one to give Tiger.
So, after the ride and his bridle was removed Aiden decided he wanted to eat a carrot with his beloved Tiger. He wanted Tiger to be proud of him and he wanted to do it together with him.
This was Aiden’s first vegetable he had ever eaten. His private OT who does fortnightly food therapy with him has constantly kept trying to get Aiden to eat any vegetables but unfortunately always unsuccessful.
What his OT hasn’t been able to do in almost a year of therapy RDA’s beautiful horse Tiger did in one session.
The true power of a horse. So therapeutic – keeping Aiden so calm and relaxed – giving him the incentive to give it a go.
And wanting Tiger to be proud of him. The true power of soul to soul.
Aiden now eats carrots at home which also opens the options now of trying other vegetables.
Thank you, Tiger. Equine therapy really does work in multiple areas of a challenging life.
